Reiki is an ancient Japanese Hands-on technique for stress reduction and relaxation. Our bodies are infused with life force energy. When this energy is low i.e., when we are stressed, our bodies have less life force energy, and we are more vulnerable to illness. When our life force energy is high, our bodies have an innate wisdom that allows it to maintain health. Reiki is a safe and natural technique that can be highly beneficial for all ages. Reiki will work with all the areas of health – physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. It has been shown to support a vast array of maladies including physical injuries, ailments, emotional trauma, focus issues, transitioning to death, and many others. Clients lie on a massage table, fully clothed while the treatment is given. The practitioner’s hands lightly touch the body or are just above the body during sessions. Infants through adults can benefit. Sessions for children typically last half an hour. Sessions for teen/adults last approximately 1 to 1 & ½ hours.
Sometimes there are areas in our lives where we can feel stuck, out of balance, or loose our momentum. Whole Brain / Whole Body Balances use a wide variety of Integrated Movements, including Brain Gym, to support the client’s specific goal or specific area of concern to achieve balance in their brain/body connection. Client concerns can range from physical goals, for example greater ability in their sport, dance or musical instrument, to mental concerns such as greater focus, preparing for an exam or day to day learning, to emotional concerns such as building confidence or overcoming inhibitions. This work can be done with all ages. Sessions for children typically last half an hour. Sessions for teen/adults last approximately 1 hour. These times can vary based on the individual’s needs and desires.
Over the years, Celina has developed a unique way of supporting clients in realizing and empowering their true self. She pulls from her own intuition and the many techniques she has learned including Reiki, Integrated Movement, Energy Medicine, and a variety of natural methods she has used in her own path of self-growth and discovery. Clients leave these sessions feeling empowered in their truth and centered in their loving self, feeling able to face their world with love and energy. These sessions are typically done with teen/adult clients and last 1 to 1 &1/2 hours depending on the clients individual needs and desires.
Children are naturally aware of energy. They can sense it, feel it and are still connected to their intuitions when they are young. This class is a wonderful way to build upon the innate abilities children have and provide them with the gift of self healing through Reiki. In this hectic society, Reiki can be used to calm emotions and reduce stress which many children unfortunately experience. Many, fun, engaging, hands on activities will teach the students about the Reiki energy and its history. Once attuned to Reiki, they will enjoy learning how to use it to heal themselves, parents, siblings and whoever is open to receive Reiki through their beautiful little hands! Teenagers are at a special time in their lives when they are reaching out, expanding and coming into their own. With all this growth and discovery comes emotional distress at times when things just don’t seem to be going their way. Reiki is an invaluable tool that can be used to ground, center and balance emotions – all things that teens can benefit from. Engaging, hands on activities will teach teens how to feel, recognize and work with energy. Students will learn the history of Reiki, the basic principles and be attuned to the healing Reiki energy. Once attuned, hands on practice time in class will teach the students how to channel the healing energy for self healing along with the healing of others. Teens will find this class to be rewarding and empowering. Classes are scheduled based on student/teacher availability.
Celina Matos Ruhala is a Reiki Master and offers Reiki I, II, and Master level classes for those wanting to be attuned to Reiki healing energy. Classes are offered throughout the year and Celina will also schedule classes based on individual requests as well. Learning Reiki can be done in private sessions as well if one desires. Ruhala Health & Wellness class offers a holistic approach to health: body, mind, and spirit. It is a student centered class designed to work with students from where they are at, including health and wellness concerns they have, desires to work in certain areas, and to address any questions that come up. We will work with many modalities to assist students in gaining vital health, including breath work, yoga, brain gym, meditation, focused attention, and more. This class is designed to be collaborative and fun. And if we don't have an answer for you we will find it, or point you toward a resource, or support you in any way we can. This is a learning opportunity within a supportive environment and in no way should be considered medical treatment. Come join the fun, the exuberant health, and like-minded people.
Yoga is a marvelous mind/body/spirit raising way of approaching health and inner peace. Ruhala uses simple master exercises that all ages and levels can do combined with simple poses which can be modified for individual needs. Children naturally enjoy doing the poses and learning how to focus and quiet their minds and bodies.
Positive Mental Toughness is the ability to have your brain and mind under your own self-control. In this way, you can assist yourself toward your goals. Mr. Ruhala created his Mental Toughness Program over decades of teaching and mentoring students and clients. This proven program uses various techniques to give you a menu of options to work with. Above all, the supreme virtue of Positive Mental Toughness is the liberating empowerment a client receives. Life is good when we are empowered by self-control, self-actualization, and assuming responsibility for ourselves.
These techniques include: Breath Work/Mental Visualization, Meditation/Identifying unhelpful thoughts/Affirmations & Mantras/Relaxation techniques/Identifying what you actually have control over, and more.
Mr. Ruhala’s successful clients include - Athletes/Students/Dancers/Lawyers/Singers/IT Specialists/Actors, and lay people interested in improving their mental health regarding specific issues.
Sessions can be scheduled flexibly. Some clients schedule half-hour sessions once a week, others full hour sessions. Weekly scheduling is optimal but with flexibility we can find what is the most optimal schedule for each individual.
